What The App Stores
My Lounge Journal stores information needed to provide private journaling, account sync, lounge membership, and optional community features.
- Account and profile information, such as authentication identifiers, email address, display name, full name, bio, home lounge, favorite cigar style, favorite drink category, profile settings, and timestamps.
- Private journal data, including cigar entries, drink entries, pairing links, dates, ratings, strength, tasting notes, favorites, buy-again/order-again choices, catalog or personal cigar links, and deletion markers used for sync.
- Optional cigar photo data may be stored locally on your device. Cloud sync stores photo metadata, such as whether a photo exists, but does not upload the photo image itself.
- Personal cigar identities and pairing records used to keep your private journal organized across entries.
- Lounge membership and administration records, including lounge access-code joins, membership status, role, request timestamps, approval/suspension fields, and private membership-verification information such as full name when collected for lounge administration.
- Optional social and lounge content, including social profile settings, username reservations, lounge-safe profile projections, posts, comments, likes, follows, follow requests, blocks, lounge chat messages, cigar-share snapshots, reports, moderation status, and notifications.
- Technical records such as sync timestamps, schema versions, server update timestamps, and limited diagnostic or security logs needed to operate and protect the service.
Why We Store It
- To let you create, edit, sync, and recover your private cigar, drink, and pairing journal across supported devices.
- To run member profiles, lounge membership, lounge owner/admin workflows, notifications, and optional community features.
- To enforce privacy choices, follower visibility, blocking, suspension, moderation, and community guidelines.
- To improve reliability, prevent duplicate records, resolve sync conflicts, and protect the app from abuse or unauthorized access.
Private Journal Content
Your cigar, drink, pairing, tasting-note, rating, favorite, and palate-history records are private to your account by default. They are stored under your user account and are not public website pages. Some text journal data can sync to the cloud when you are signed in; local photo image data stays on the device, with only photo-exists metadata synced.
Lounge And Social Visibility
If you use lounge or community features, some content can be visible to other eligible members of the same lounge depending on your choices and the feature used.
- Lounge posts marked for members may be visible to active eligible members of that lounge.
- Follower-visible posts may be visible to accepted followers in that lounge.
- Only-me posts are intended to remain visible to you.
- Lounge chat messages and cigar-share messages are visible inside the eligible lounge chat experience and can include your lounge-safe display identity, message text, optional caption, and a limited cigar snapshot; ratings are included only when you choose to include them.
- Profiles, directory presence, follow requests, and follower relationships depend on lounge privacy settings, social participation settings, active membership, blocks, and moderation state.
- Lounge owners, admins, moderators, and platform administrators may access membership, moderation, report, and administrative records needed to operate the lounge and enforce rules.
What Is Not Public
Private journal entries, private account profile records, social profile internals, membership-verification identity records, notifications, and moderation reports are not intended to be publicly listable. Access is controlled by authentication, lounge membership, role, and privacy rules.
Account Deletion
Account deletion is currently handled by email request. See the Delete Account page for the current process.
